Interesse International Human Resources Review

A staffing agency that specifically targets the Japanese clientele of both candidates and employers, thus using affirmative action to the fullest.  In my past life of adult times, I was admitted to Interesse as the recruiter reviewed my dossier from Monster. com based on my previous past life Japanese surname.  The recruiter immediately assume I speak Japanese by leaving a message entirely Japanese!

I rate it three stars, rare for any staffing agency, as I have produce effective results in 2005.  After conquering the greatest hardship of my life, I return to my family surname in 2007 and re-submitted my resume to Interesse which the recruiters ignore non-Japanese.

Cinderella Travel Review

I have been travelling to Russia for about 6 years now, and have "tried" many variations of Visa and travel programs. Having a lot of experience with many agencies, I can say with confidence that "Marina" at Cinderella Travel is THE BEST!

Travelling to Russia can be very challenging, especially with regards to Visa documentation. Marina has helped me out so many times with problems that I created for myself. I am guilty of leaving things to the last minute at times, and each time I have had an issue, She has come through for me. She is knowledgeable, professional, and most importantly understands the ins and outs of "the system".

I highly recommend Cinderella Travel, specifically "Marina" if you have any Russian travel needs. She is the best, and I have tried other places, and tried doing the visa work on my own. Call and ask for Marina. (Queens office) You won't regret it.

Pippin Vintage Jewelry Review

I am a native New Yorker and visit Pippins quite often.  I have never left the store empty-handed.  Pippin has a great selection of vintage watches.  I purchased 3 over the last month for myself and as gifts for others.  The store provides a great repair and cleaning policy.  All of the watches function properly and are of various price ranges.  They also have an incredible collection of vintage and antique jewelry.  The counter at the back of the store features a stunning array of glittering jewelry from various periods.  In addition, the staff is very courteous and accommodating.  For example, they even size watch straps for a perfect fit.  The owner is very passionate and knowledgeable, esp about the watches.  He is friendly and enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge so you know exactly what you are buying.  Shopping at Pippin is a special experience.  It is a true treasure chest in the city!

Wandering through Chelsea on a thrifty shopping mission, I finally had a chance to slip into Pippin Vintage Jewelry with a fellow shopaholic. Two steps through the door and I had filled my grubby little handles with charms and chains and little faux costume jewelry. And everything is incredibly reasonably priced.

In the glass cases they offer a selection of more expensive vintage pieces and watches. The folks behind the counter and friendly and helpful. You're sure to walk out of here with some one of a kind gems within your price range!

Automotion Parking Review

Late, and adrift I turn down Baxter St. expecting to park illegally; and happily willing to accept a ticket (I don't have to pay for tickets). There is a sign... 'parking'. I turn in,. To my surprise, this parking garage isn't a garage.

It's an engineering masterpiece, and coincidentally the first like it in the city.

You pull into this 25 foot by 15 foot room, lock your car, take your keys, the attendant hands you a credit card, have a nice day. No paperwork, no hassle. It's a vending machine for your car.  It really is cool, I was like a kid in a candy store. Video monitors are present, if you prefer you can watch this Eco-friendly (no car fumes) marvel automatically park your car; or maybe like me, capture 15 seconds on your iPhone [via video-monitors], than bolt like (insert fast name).

If you really are interested, watch the link to the website. Currently the 3rd Automotion parking garage just opened servicing 55 luxury condominiums  at 148 E24 St., as well as transient traffic in the area.
